Anime Festival Orlando IX

Published by hellokitty at 7:00 am under Cosplay Conventions, Costume News Edit This

If there were a website more reminiscent of an RPG game than the animefestivalorlando.com site, then I haven’t seen it. While Magic Knight Rayearth may have puked all over it, this is a great way to get a bunch of costumed freaks excited about Florida’s big party.

The Anime Festival Orlando continued this year along a ‘Swords of Orlandia’ theme. There were RPG workshops, an ‘America’s Funniest Cosplays’ exhibition, and even a Japanese horror event that required an ID at the door.

Located at the Wyndham Orlando resort, this convention comes with it’s own photography backdrop in the beautiful grounds that were teeming with all sorts of vinyl and Styrofoam over the weekend. The convention offered lots of reasons to dress up, with both the traditional costume contest as well as ‘Happy Happy Cosplay Go Go’.

While this convention is heavy on the RPG, it is ripe with cosplay from all walks of life.
