Best of Sephiroth Cosplay
Sephiroth is one of the more romantic of the video game baddies. To cosplay Sephiroth, it takes a kind of quiet dignity…there’s nothing worse than someone acting like a goofball in a Sephiroth costume. Here are some examples of good Sephiroth cosplay.
This is a good slide show of some of the best Sephiroth cosplay costumes that I have seen to date. These come from a variety of conventions and photo shoots.
This is what I”m talking about when I mention a goofball Sephiroth…

Have you seen any good Sephiroth cosplay?

Best of Sailor Venus Cosplay
Sailor Venus is the senshi of love, and her fans are more than eager to portray her long blonde locks and orange skirt. Here are some examples of Sailor venus cosplay to get your started on your own Venus cosplay costume.
Eternal Sailor Venus at AWA 2007. This one looks like she used knee-high socks, and her uniform is a little too much like a dancer’s leotard. The skirt looks nice, though.
Check out these photos of some of the best Sailor Venus costume I’ve found so far at Cosplay.com:
- Sailor Venus from PGSM
- Super S Sailor Venus
- Princess Venus
- Another PGSM Venus

Kigurumi Cosplay
Well, you’ve probably seen some cosplay over the years that is downright ugly, wrong or just plain awkward. Add scary to the list, because ‘kigurumi’ cosplay is becoming more and more popular in America. Kigurumi cosplay is when someone wears a strange mask to accompany their cosplay costume, turning them into a kind of walking doll.
I think that the masks used in kigurumi take the personal element out of cosplay, covering the cosplayers face and taking the fan out of the equation. It gives anime fans too much of a cult-like enthusiasm for the cartoon..imagine 20 years form now, whole conventions of kigurumi cosplayers.
What do you think about Kigurumi?

Eternal Sailor Moon Cosplay at SVSCON
Tune in everyday this week for a new video that displays what convention attendees consider to be some of the best cosplay out there. This week we are focusing on Sailor Moon cosplay videos.
The next video comes from YouTube member ‘Katsukotan’. I chose this video because it was posted by the cosplayer and she had so much to say about it:
“I totally forgot all the text for the song when I was about to sing…so I just sang something the first verse was almost correct and so was the bridge, but the chorus I get all wrong! I was supposed to sing Hikari no Uzu noboritsumeteku….and so on and the Nozomu no nara part was for the second time I sing the chorus stupid me!!
And I suddenly disappear from the stage because my hair got caught in a chair, while I was putting on my gloves.”

Usagi Tsukino Cosplay Video
Tune in everyday this week for a new video that displays what convention attendees consider to be some of the best cosplay out there. This week we are focusing on Sailor Moon cosplay videos.
The next video comes from YouTube member ‘dedeKISSchan’. Here she showcases the many Usagi Tsukino, Princess Serenity and Sailor Moon costumes that she has put together over the years. There is one photo where she looks as though she is trying to pole dance, but other than that, they are honest cosplay photos. It looks as though she has put a lot of work into her costumes, but I’m not sure if they are bought or made by her.
Tell me what what you think of this video.

Sailor Moon Cosplay Montage Video
Tune in everyday this week for a new video that displays what convention attendees consider to be some of the best cosplay out there. This week we are focusing on Sailor Moon cosplay videos.
The next video comes from YouTube member ‘xXPaulsGirlXx’. It is a collection of still photos of Sailor Moon cosplayers set to music with a few effects. From the comment to the side of the video, it sounds like the author doesn’t exactly have permission to post the photos, so these may be some that you might not find published in too many places on the web.

Cosplay Video: Sailor Moon Skit at Anime Expo 2007
Tune in everyday this week for a new video that displays what convention attendees consider to be some of the best cosplay out there.
The next video comes from YouTube member ‘mandymitchell’. This is a video of a Sailor Moon skit performed at the 2007 Anime Expo. It isn’t so much a skit as them walking around and pointing at things. I liked this one because it featured all of the Sailor Senshi, and thier poses offer a good look at the kind of material the costumes are made of.
From one of the cosplayers: “We performed to “Viva” by Bond. Our Eternal Sailor Senshi costumes were based off of the Sailor Moon manga. We won the ADV Films Industry Award.”
Let me know what you think of this video.
